The tour begins with a trip through the extraordinary rainforest of Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of the most important reserves in Costa Rica, which in turn functions as a natural boundary between the Caribbean and the Central Valley.
Eventually, when we cross the National Park, we will reach the Sarapiquí area, which is a beautiful region in the northeast of the country, known for its incredible natural wealth. Upon arrival, we will board a boat in which we will take a relaxing walk along the river, where we will look for rainforest animals such as monkeys, iguanas, birds, and many more.
After the boat tour, we will continue with a walk through the private trails of Selva Verde Eco Lodge, which are a paradise for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and vegetation lovers, we will be able to appreciate details of the ecosystems, plants, trees, fauna and much more. At the conclusion of the tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch.
On the way to San José, we will visit the famous aerial tram in the rain forest, where on board a gondola, we will be able to observe the trees and nature in the company of a naturalist guide from the area. (If you prefer adrenaline, instead of the cable car, you can do the 7-cable zip line tour).
The rainforest has 475 hectares of private reserve and shares a 10 km border with the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which constitutes an intermediate zone between the park and farmland.
